What to ExpectVisiting a new church doesn't need to be stressful. Here's some things you can expect when you visit Morrison Chapel: We will greet you with a smile. You can grab a cup of coffee or a water and make yourself comfortable. Speaking of comfortable, please do come as you are. Really. Odd's are the Pastor won't be wearing a tie either since he's not fond of them. You won't need a map and a flashlight to find a restroom either, we think that's kinda cool by the way. You can expect to hear a biblically sound message with real life application.
“I’d like to personally welcome you to Morrison Chapel. You could say that we are a small church with a very big heart. Our vision is to impact our families, our community, and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ because we know that the gospel contains within it the power of transformation to all those who hear and believe “
– Pastor Jack
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a mega church?
Other than having big hearts, no. You won’t need a shuttle bus to take you from the sanctuary to Sunday School.
What times are your services?
Sunday school begins at 9:45 and worship begins at 11:00.
Do you offer childcare?
Absolutely! But please know, your children are always welcome to be with you during worship as well!
Do I need to dress up?
At Morrison Chapel, the focus is on Christ. There’s no need to dress up, and most of our attendees dress casually. You might even spot a few Tennessee or Virginia Tech jerseys on a game day.
What’s the preaching like?
You can expect to hear a biblical message that has a practical life application for you. We promise not to hit you over the head with a bible, but we also won’t avoid the more difficult parts of the scripture.
Do I have to be perfect to come to this church?
Someone wise (we don’t know who) once said “All God’s children got stuff”, and we agree. Check it out, we all struggle. We all fail. We all miss the boat. Perfection is not a requirement. Just be yourself and let God do the rest.
